The Elgg project is always looking for talented developers who would like to take on some contract work building out functionality for Elgg.

- Mediawiki integration (similar to classic Elgg) - users, perhaps tags as well?
- A photo gallery plugin that uses lightbox to preview, comes with an index page gallery and widgets for the dashboard and plugin - this could be an adaptation of the file plugin to only accept photos and which defaults to the gallery view.
- Improved group forums to include RSS, notifications, comment editing, threaded comments
- RSS aggregator (very similar to Classic Elgg) including the ability to import your external blog to your Elgg blog
- As many video options as possible - full integration with something like StickAm http://www.stickam.com/ or Qik http://qik.com/, or perhaps Elgg's own TV option
- Enhance the file plugin to allow for multiple file uploads and to provide an admin option to set the file storage limit each user has

- Create a plugin that will let users choose their own theme instead of using the site default UPDATE: this is already being worked on by Brett -> Under development
